Would you like to integrate Frotcom with a popular navigator? Do you need to communicate with your drivers in a simple, clear and economic way? Frotcom’s Integrated Navigation module is your choice.
Your trucking company has to pick up a load from a customer’s premises. You check the closest available truck. With the click of a button, you send the pick up location to your driver’s navigator, along with clear instructions.
Easy, no? This is Frotcom’s Integrated Navigation. It allows the interaction between fleet managers and drivers through a navigator in the vehicle.
It is possible for fleet managers to send destinations to the vehicle’s navigator (clients, loading and unloading places or others), along with instructions; managers can also send and receive text messages.
Drivers will be able to read the messages received from the office and to reply to those messages
, or to create and send new messages
. Drivers will also be able to select a destination point received from the office and navigate to it
Frotcom’s Integrated Navigation

How it works
||The Integrated Navigation module provides Frotcom with an interface for Garmin navigators, allowing not only interaction of the office with the drivers, through text, but also the possibility of navigation to destinations received from the office.
The Frotcom device in the vehicle is connected through a special cable to the Garmin navigator. Most Garmin navigators compatible with the Fleet Management Interface 2.0 norm (FMI 2.0) can be used. Please contact us for a complete list of compatible models.
Destinations such as loading and unloading places can be sent directly from the office to a driver’s navigator, along with written instructions. The driver will just have to press the Go! key on the touch screen to navigate to the received location. Two sorts of destinations can be sent from the office: Frotcom places (points of interest such as customer locations) and free map addresses. A flag icon will show up on the navigator, to mark the arrival of a new destination.
Text messages can also be sent and received, as a cheaper and more efficient alternative to phone calls, specially in the case of international transports. Text messages are immediately displayed on the navigator. The driver will be able to reply. All messages sent and received are kept for future reference.
The Integrated Navigation module is based on a flat monthly fee. You can send as many messages and destinations as you want without paying more.
