Senior Backend Support Analyst (m/f)

Carnaxide, Portugal

Frotcom International SA is a Portuguese company active in the development of Fleet Management systems (Telematics). Our software, Frotcom, is currently sold in 30+ countries around the world, through a network of Frotcom Certified Partners.

You will be working in our office in Carnaxide, Portugal, where we have a team of 40 #amazing #people, working in areas such as Software Development, Account Management, Logistics, Marketing, and Administration, among others.

The Job
 
You will be joining a motivated software agile driven team. You will bridge product and business logic knowledge with the technical implementation, to perform deep and thorough troubleshooting and analysis of problems, providing Level 3 support over backend APIs, workers and data processors, both to Support and Development teams.
 
So, what will you be doing as a Senior Backend Support Analyst?

To perform this job successfully you must be able to execute the following tasks: 
 
  • Analyze bugs reported by the Support team; in doing so, check log files, inspect source code and query databases to determine the route cause;
  • Assist support team in understanding when a reported case configures a bug;
  • Provide guidance to the Backend team on the correction of the reported issues, or when in possession of the necessary knowledge, solve the reported issues;
  • Provide support to third party integrators using Frotcom API’s;
  • Assist CTO by providing suggestions on technological improvements, including tools, frameworks, logging, and monitoring;
  • Collaborate with DBA and Systems Administrator aiming at maximizing service level to customers. 

Requirements

Wondering what skills are needed? Here they are:
 
  • Experience in .NET and .NET Core development, Azure Storage, Azure EventHub, SQL Server, Rest API, Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design;
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, Vue.js and TypeScript, and also mobile platforms Android and iOS;
  • Experience with team development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, NuGET or similar.              
 Other valued skills

The Senior Backend Support Analyst must have:
 
  • Computer Science graduation and 5+ years of professional experience with similar responsibilities
  • A true passion for problem-solving;
  • Acute troubleshooting and problem-solving aptitude;
  • Willingness to learn how stuff works by fixing it;
  • Teamwork, Leadership, verbal communication (Portuguese and English);
