Financial Accounting Assistant

Mexico City, Mexico

We are looking for a Financial Accounting Assistant to provide comprehensive financial, accounting, and administrative support in both operational and strategic functions, assisting financial, accounting, administrative, and human resources management across LATAM. 

Ensure compliance with internal processes, proper control of documentation and expenses, coordination of key activities, and the successful execution of strategic projects, such as system implementations and continuous improvement of internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow-up on LATAM accounting closing deliverables: Verify compliance with monthly checklists by country and consolidate progress updates.
  • Processing operational and/or corporate expense invoices: Register and control invoicing related to internal expenses.
  • Preparation of financial cost reports: Collect data and prepare reports related to banking and financial costs.
  • Odoo implementation project support: Monitor timelines and tasks related to the ERP implementation project.
  • Process mapping and implementation: Support the documentation and standardization of financial and administrative processes.
  • Review and control of purchase requests and expense reimbursements: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • HR-related follow-up: Support contract management, team member files, commissions, and labor documentation.
  • Team member incident tracking and control: Register vacations, permissions, absences, and other employee-related events.
  • Preparation of certificates and official documentation: Request and prepare documents required by clients or official entities.
  • Corporate travel management: Coordinate reservations, flights, and accommodations in accordance with the requirements.
  • Completion of forms and administrative documents: Prepare and submit administrative forms for external entities.
  • Preparation of monthly Uber consumption reports: Consolidate service usage for control and review purposes.
  • LATAM accounting clean-up support: Assist in the review and adjustment of accounting balances with inconsistencies.
     

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of LATAM financial and tax accounting
  • Experience using ERP systems (Odoo preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • Document management and administrative processes
  • Basic knowledge of human resources and labor procedures

Qualifications for the Position

  • Attention to detail and numerical accuracy: Ability to review financial and accounting data with precision.
  • Organizational and planning skills: Ability to efficiently structure tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Proactivity and consistent follow-up: Ability to anticipate needs and ensure pending tasks are completed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: Clear and professional drafting of emails, reports, and communications.
  • Process and deadline-oriented mindset: Commitment to established timelines and internal policies.
  • Discretion and responsible handling of confidential information: Proper management and protection of sensitive data.

Recommended Educational Background: University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields..
