Frotcom Hosts Special Edition of Annual Fleet Management Convention

Frotcom organized a special edition of its Fleet Management Convention in Botswana, highlighting strategies to enhance fleet efficiency, safety, and sustainability. 

Building on the success of its 5th Annual Fleet Management Convention last May, Frotcom hosted a special edition under the theme “Efficiency in Motion: Optimizing Fleet Operations Through Maintenance & Diagnostics”. 

From October 29 to 31, 2025, at Cresta Mowana Safari Resort in Kasane, Botswana, the event brought together fleet industry professionals, transport executives, maintenance experts, technology providers, and regulatory leaders. The convention focused on proactive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and digital job card management, helping fleets become more efficient and sustainable, and reaffirmed Frotcom’s role as a leader in promoting knowledge, innovation, and best practices in fleet management across Africa.

Key Themes and Insights

The convention centered on four main areas shaping the future of fleet management:

• Preventive and Predictive Maintenance – Experts shared strategies to extend vehicle lifespan, minimize downtime, and maximize operational efficiency.
• Digital Job Card Systems – Attendees explored how digital job cards improve accuracy and accountability in recording maintenance interventions, directly supporting cost control and operational transparency.
• Telematics and Diagnostic Data – Sessions highlighted the use of real-time telematics and diagnostic data to detect faults early, plan repairs efficiently, and optimize overall fleet performance.
• Regulation and Compliance – Participants received updates on local and international standards covering safety, environmental requirements, and operational regulations.

The event served as a vital hub for fleet managers and decision-makers across Africa, providing attendees with practical tools to enhance efficiency and profitability, up-to-date knowledge on global standards and trends, and opportunities to build strategic connections with partners, regulators, and technology innovators.
