Did you know - November 2024
This month in the feature "Did you know" we will tell you about:
1. TRD+ Module
The topic "Tachographs" has always been relevant, but it is gaining more and more strength. And not for any other reason, but because of the requirement imposed by the Mobility package to replace them with smart ones of the 2nd generation and the upcoming deadlines for this.
Companies, no matter how big or small, are challenged every day to find a way to download their data from the tachograph's hard memory and from the driver's card - either manually by visiting each vehicle individually or remotely using services like Frotcom's - remotely downloading data from a tachograph. Along with this, they must also be able to store these files properly in order to make them available when requested by a regulatory authority.
All these challenges, as well as the fact that some companies do not have the ability to do it themselves, have led us to offer a new innovative service - TRD+, which includes everything needed for both large and small fleets.
The TRD+ module is a comprehensive service, replacing the need to appoint an employee in the company to deal with the activities related to tachograph data download and subsequent analysis. The only commitment for the company is to make its company tachograph card available at the office of a Frotcom employee, where the Technical Support team will take care of downloading the data, properly archiving it, analyzing it through VDO Fleet and sending an email with a report of occurrence of a violation by a company driver. This report serves as documentary evidence for drawing up a protocol with a warning for the relevant violation to the driver.
TRD+ was created for the benefit of all companies that cannot handle this commitment alone. By outsourcing the duties of downloading tachograph data, companies can count on:
- all tachograph files will be downloaded or, in the event of a technical problem, will be promptly informed;
- the data will be stored correctly;
- the data will be available for provision if necessary;
- the files will be decoded and analyzed in the VDO Fleet platform.
2. EVs (electric vehicles)
Many fleet managers are considering switching to electric vehicles or have already started retrofitting their fleet.
In the material below, you can learn how two companies made their move from conventional cars to electric, what difficulties and problems they faced, and what the results of using EVs for their fleets are.
And in order to be as useful as possible, we at Frotcom have added information about electric cars to the system, such as:
- battery level;
- charging (how many kW are charged);
- average consumption per 100 km.
Data is also visible when exporting a Fuel Management report.
If you want to know more about these features and how to use them, you can do so by contacting us at 032398964 or sales@bg.frotcom.com and ask us.
