Simplified maintenance tracking ensures timely servicing and reduces costly downtime.
Frotcom introduced its Vehicle Maintenance Module, which allows fleet managers to monitor maintenance requirements and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) remotely in real-time. This simplifies maintenance planning and reduces vehicle downtime.
Managing fleet maintenance has often been challenging, relying on manual checks or fragmented tools. Frotcom’s new module offers a centralized solution, giving real-time access to service needs, including general maintenance, engine oil, and brake system alerts. The module automatically triggers notifications and alarms for overdue or upcoming maintenance, helping fleet managers act proactively.
The Vehicle Maintenance Module collects vehicle data using Frotcom’s GPS trackers, which connect to OBD ports, CAN buses, or FMS systems. Fleet managers can access this information on a single platform, removing the need for local vehicle checks or multiple systems.
Key Benefits
• Centralized Monitoring: All maintenance alerts and DTCs are presented in one platform.
• Automated Alerts: Notifications for scheduled services or issues enable quicker intervention.
• Proactive Maintenance: Prevent costly breakdowns by addressing problems early.
• Driver Communication: Maintenance alerts can also be sent to drivers for immediate action.
“This new module takes the guesswork out of maintenance, providing real-time insights and automated alerts that help prevent downtime and costly repairs. We’re committed to giving our customers tools that simplify operations and drive efficiency, and this module is a perfect example of that.”, said Helena Ahlström, co-CEO of Frotcom International.
