Fleet cost management

What is your fleet’s current cost per km? Chances are you do not know the answer to that question. In fact, there is no exact answer.  It all depends on how you calculate it. For instance, the answer will be different if you use the average costs of the last 3 months or of the last 12 months. How should you calculate when bidding on a tender, for instance? Which one is more conservative? Which one is more aggressive? You are safer with the first but have a better chance of winning the tender with the latter.

Vehicle access control system

You find out at the delivery point that part of your cargo is missing. You don’t know where, when or how it went missing. The lock on the door of the semitrailer seems to have been tampered with. You will have to indemnify your customer, who is obviously quite upset.

CRM – Customer relationship management

Your customer wants to be permanently informed about the whereabouts of his goods, which are being transported in your trucks. You don’t want to designate an employee to remain in touch with this customer to let him know where the vehicles are at all times, but you want to satisfy the customer’s request.

Fleet management dashboard

Your management team wants a simple visual way to know how the main performance indicators for the fleet are evolving. Is the fleet near its workload limit? How much further can it perform? How’s the current activity in comparison to the last months?

Electronic logging device - US

Frotcom offers ELD based on Garmin’s best of breed devices: the fleet series. Frotcom’s ELD comes with other great tools such as Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) and International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA). Optionally you can also use it to dispatch jobs to drivers and communicate with them, collect forms and navigate your drivers through the best routes.

Driving behavior analysis

For most vehicles on the market today, the impact of eco-driving vs. aggressive driving on fuel consumption can exceed 30%. Some studies have also shown that average fuel consumption in a fleet of trucks or vans can decrease on average by as much as 7% by implementing the appropriate driving behavior. Huge savings!

Driving times monitoring

You just received another request to transport goods. You’re looking for the nearest vehicles to assign the job to. But how do you know if the corresponding drivers still have enough driving time available to execute the job in the available time frame?

Frotcom TV

A potential customer visits to find out if your services are as excellent as you claim. You want to impress them. That’s why you have a big screen on your meeting room wall, featuring your own TV network, showing the current information on your fleet and the company.

Fleet alarms

One of your trucks has been stopped with its engine running for 10 min. The driver receives a notification to shut down the engine to avoid wasting fuel. Five minutes later, the engine status hasn’t changed. At this point the fleet manager is alerted to contact the driver, so as to avoid wasteful consumption.

Fuel management

You can’t  find an explanation to determine why the fuel consumption of some vehicles fluctuates so much. You really need to get to the bottom of things and find out what is going on.
