Frotcom is continuously improving, and two new features are now available in the Overspeed Alarm.
Frotcom is constantly upgraded with new features to help its customers achieve true fleet intelligence.
These new features in the Overspeed Alarm allow you to track your vehicles’ speed in a more detailed way.
Overspeed alarm now adapted to Detailed tracking
Until now, vehicles configured with Detailed tracking (interim positions of 2 seconds) could produce some false-positive occurrences of Overspeed alarms, especially on those with geographic restrictions. With this new implementation, the Overspeed alarm will decode the detailed tracking and process all locations and speed records every 2 seconds.
Overspeed alarm – Trigger delay in seconds
With the implementation described above, it is also possible to configure the Overspeed alarm with a Trigger delay of seconds instead of minutes. This allows you to give a tolerance of, say, 5 seconds to an excessive speed, before triggering the alarm. Until now, only multiples of minutes could be used.
